Distress monitoring and alerts

Emma features a local distress detection engine that operates with zero model dependencies. If a student shows signs of distress or isolation, the exchange is flagged, enabling EdTech integrations to redirect them to human help.

Bi-directional PII masking Names, emails, phone numbers, and physical addresses are masked on the fly. The underlying AI model never receives this data, preventing data leakage at the source.
Safety classification Strict monitoring for toxic, violent, or age-inappropriate content. Blocked exchanges are logged and replaced with generic safety responses.
